Tim was co-author and participant of a Small Business Capital Formation Report to the US Congress; selected for a White House Business Council briefing; former Executive Director for the Washington State Council of Vocational-Technical Institutes; and governor-appointed member of committees and commissions. The William Factory Incubator has received much recognition including: Incubator of the Year by the National Business Incubator Association; recipient of the “Champion of Compassion” Award by the White House Office of Faith Based & Community Initiatives; highlighted in Business Week as “Incubators that are setting the pace”; profiled by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as a model of success; included in a US Bancorp Annual Report: “Building A Community through Economic Opportunity”; and cited as an example in the 2006 MIT Report on Rebuilding New Orleans.



DR. CHRISTINA THEODORAKI PhD, MBA, BBA

Project Lead

Dr. Christina Theodoraki, assistant professor in Entrepreneurship at TBS Education in France and Babson College Collaborative Member. She defended the first PhD on entrepreneurial ecosystems in Europe and received 2 best dissertation awards. Christina is editor of the high-ranking Small Business Economics Journal and associate editor of the Journal of Small Business Management.

She has also recently been elected to the position of Professional Development Workshop Chair, Entrepreneur Division for the Academy of Management. 

She is also Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Development Strategies at the University of Indiana and Business Development Manager at the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Research Network. She also leads the Babson Collaborative Research Group on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems.

She is well renowned internationally for her work in entrepreneurial ecosystems and has received several awards for her commitment and contributions to theory and practice. Her research interests include entrepreneurial ecosystems, entrepreneurial support, and interorganizational strategies with a focus on business incubators. Her research has been published in journals such as Small Business Economics, Journal of Business Research, European Management Review, M@n@gement, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, The Journal of Technology Transfer, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business etc.



Dr WINIFRED SORIBE MSc, ACCA, BSc.

Project Analyst

Winifred Soribe holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Bedfordshire, UK. She currently works as a lecturer, specializing in accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship, at both the Ulster University (London campus) and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (London campus). Additionally, she serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence, contributing to the Research and Innovation Service at the University of Bedfordshire, UK.


Her doctoral research was centered around the financing of innovation within entrepreneurial firms. She explored how these firms utilize intellectual capital, entrepreneurial orientation, collaboration, and industry dynamism to effectively address funding constraints.


She is a chartered accountant with  the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), she also completed a master's degree in accounting and business finance from the University of Bedfordshire which came after completing her qualification and obtaining a bachelor's degree in economics.


Within the realm of entrepreneurship, Winifred Soribe is an active leader. She regularly hosts entrepreneurship-related shows, both in-person and online, such as the R.E.A.L fireside chats with entrepreneurs and experts. She also host the "Stars in the Making' program on Radio Lab 97.1 FM.


Notably, Winifred is dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs worldwide. She runs the Founders Academy Community on Founders and Mentors, a platform catering to the pre-launch ecosystem. Her mentoring and business support extends to various communities including Digital Boost (UK), Mentor Makers (US), William Factory Small Business Incubator (US), and Entnest (Switzerland).


Apart from her professional pursuits, she finds joy in engaging in intellectual discussions, writing, bead making, reading, and cooking.
